Despite spending the whole year indoors, I still found time to try out some beauty products and I thought I would share them with you. Some of them are oldies while others are newbies, in production or in my collection.
I tried a variety of sheet masks this year. I even have a blog post on just sheet masks. This makes it really difficult to pick a favourite. However, I believe the Garnier Moisture bomb is THE GIRL she thinks she is since that was the first sheet mask I ever tried and I keep repurchasing. It’s very moisturizing and always leaves my skin dewy with a healthy glow.
I recently started using the Dove Rich Nourishment Cream but it has fast become a favourite. Dove is definitely a brand I’m naturally drawn to aesthetically and the products also never disappoint. Earlier this year I shared the Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash in an IGTV (still a fave) and I’ve been using their beauty bar for a few years now so it’s no surprise that this Nourishing cream is on my favourites list.
Iwori Facial Oil is also a recent addition to my skincare and I absolutely looove it because it has this very beautiful (satin-like) finish as long as you don’t use too much of it. Oils are meant to seal in your products at the end of your skincare routine and a few drops really do go a long way which is true for this oil. Just two drops leave my skin looking supple, healthy and youthful.
This Revlon Candid Setting Powder is definitely one of the best powders I’ve ever tried. It’s lightweight on the skin with maximum hold. Before Covid hit us, I could set my under eyes with this hun and my makeup would last all day. It can actually be very drying if your skin is on the dry side.
Loreal Revitalift Energizing Red Cream is definitely the one! I’ve been using this cream since June 2019 and I have never looked back. I am all about well moisturized, dewy, glowy and healthy skin and adding this to my skincare routine is one of the best things I have done for myself. You can literally see the difference in your skin as soon as you apply it and the red ginseng in it contributes to keeping your skin looking youthful.
I purchased the Iwori Body Scrub because I couldn’t find my usual body scrub in store and I don’t regret the purchase. Besides it being a body scrub, this product also leaves my skin well polished, smooth and moisturized.
Anyone who has been on my blog for at least three years knows that I’ve been using the Lux Sheer Twilight body wash for years now and I have raved about it so many times. This is my perfect go to body wash in the evenings. It’s very relaxing and smells devine. I promise, you will have sweet dreams from using this hun just before bed.
I tried a few Nivea products this year and as much as I loved them all, this 3-in-1 Cleanser was my favourite because I can use it as a wash, scrub and mask and I think we all know that I am here for anything that offers me value for my money. If I only need one product to do the job of 3 different products you better trust and believe I will add the product to my daily routine.
These have been my go to products for the year and I can’t wait to see which ones I will continue using this coming year and I’m definitely anticipating new product drops.
You really don’t have to take my word but I would love to know if you try any of them.
