Keeping up with the Jones has never been my thing. Still isn’t and shouldn’t be anyone’s thing! Same goes for keeping up with trends. I have never been one to follow trends but this year we are doing things differently, I guess. Some fashion trends clearly slid into my fashion DM and I couldn’t resist. I mean, there are certain things you can resist and then there are irresistible things. You know what I mean right.
Last year, off the shoulder trend, showed up on runways in fashion magazines and I couldn’t resist when it was almost everywhere on our screens. FOMO hit hard. I honestly couldn’t ignore it. Don’t judge me, I know some, if not all of you have fallen for things (people cough cough) you shouldn’t have but hey it may not have ended well or maybe it did…good for you! While you indulged in that forbidden fruit I am sure you enjoyed it. That is exactly how I feel about this off the shoulder trend. I am certainly loving it even though it’s starting to get a bit cold. I am even considering getting some off the shoulder jerseys this autumn so that I can outwear this trends until my heart is happy and satisfied.
A part of me wanted to stick to my usual conservative-ish style but, no-one grows in their comfort zone? I took a step out, tried this hot trend and I will let the pictures show you how I am in love with showing off a little shoulder.
